What Features Does Ted Have?

Graphically, the Ted slot game is polished and sleek. Set in the protagonists’ living room, the interface features five smoothly-spinning wheels which are decorated with various symbols from the film. These include a swan, John Bennett’s girlfriend, a six-pack of ‘Ted-Light’ beer, and what appears to be a multi-coloured filtration device (bong). Playing card lettering is also present and correct as well (the relief).

The titular hero presides drunkenly over the game, offering the odd remark here and there, as well as a spot of flatulence – oh the hilarity. Unlike many browser-based casino slots, the game buttons in Ted are kept to a minimum. It’s almost as if the designers want players to drool over the slick animations – we can’t blame them really, because the game is pretty easy on the eye.

The player is presented with another bonus screen which is themed around a city street and split into two stages.

Stage one requires the player to move bottles around the board, which increases the total bet multiplier. Landing on one of the board position ‘events’ results in one of the following outcomes:

Bar Crawl Bonus Stage Two

Players who accumulate 5 ‘big-money’ counters are entered into the Big Money Bonus end game (we couldn’t believe it either). The player is then presented with Ted in the center of the game window where he’s surrounded by multiplier values with sale signs located on the sides of the screen. These values spin and then stop, rewarding the players with the related total bet multiplier. A sale sign must then be chosen which reveals either a RE-SPIN or COLLECT option.

Gamble Feature

When a player achieves a feature win during play on Ted, they have the option to collect or gamble in order to access to other features. After being awarded with the initial bonus from the Thunder Buddies wheel spin game, the player is then shown a gamble screen that includes five features that are ranked according to average pay-out value. If the player gambles and wins, the features are eliminated. This carries on until the player collects, ascends to the top feature, or lands on the mystery win segment. In the latter scenario, a mystery cash prize is awarded based on the multiplier of the player’s total bet. The Ted slot features are:

Laser Gun Wild – Ted fires a laser beam which turns the symbols wild

Psychedelic Super Spin – Ted blows smoke onto the reels, which transform all symbols into winning cluster line wins

Psychedelic Bonus Boost – Ted blows bong smoke onto the reels which adds bonus symbols, thus increasing the chance of triggering a bonus spin

Super Mart Free Spins

The Super Mart game depicts Ted running on a conveyor belt next to the reels. Ted Wild symbols are positioned on shelves behind the game reels and change for each spins as the background moves from left to right. Once the belt stops, the reels positions are then populated with the corresponding number of wilds and any line wins processed. Free spins continue until all have been exhausted and cannot be re-triggered during the Super Mart feature.

Flash Free Spins

These are played on 5 x 4 reel layout and comprise a set number of free spins. A bonus grid is located above the reels and contains extra bonuses such as extra free spins, extra wilds, and cash prizes. Following every free spin, if a Flash symbol appears, the player is awarded a ‘super shot’ in the bonus grid. This consists of a marker that moves from left to right and awards a prize. Our Ted Review Summary

In addition to slick graphics and animations, the Ted slot is one of the most feature-laden games on the market. We were amused to see that another reviewer mentioned the slot’s subtlety – there’s not much of that on offer, let me tell you. In fact, the crudeness and toilet humor is unrelenting. Gamers of a certain mentality should therefore be well entertained. Those of a more sensitive disposition should perhaps look elsewhere. As far as gameplay is concerned, Ted has enormous depth and offers plenty of reasons for gamers to return, despite the distinctly average 10,000 maximum win…and the unceasing vulgarity.
