Brief history of Apparat Gaming

Apparat Gaming was set up by eight iGaming professionals with a combined industry experience of over 75 years. The venture was led by iGaming veterans Alina Dandörfer and Thomas Wendt. Within two years of being set up the first Apparat slot was released, Pharaoh Princess - a 5 x 3 slot with a 500x pay-out. As is often the case with first releases, the slot was pretty conservative, especially in comparison to later Apparat games. 

However, by the time Total Eclipse was released some two months later, Apparat Gaming was beginning to show plenty of promise. Comprising a retro-styled theme, the slot featured an assortment of unique features including special re-spin symbols and an impressive potential payout of up to 125,000x the stake.  

The games caused something of a stir in iGaming circles which caught the attention of Guernsey-based venture capital firm, Yolo Investment which purchased a stake in the company.  This was followed by a raft of aggregation deals including partnerships with Pariplay, Relax Gaming and Everymatrix. The latter deal saw the Apparat Gaming slots portfolio integrated by Everymatrix and served to casinos in New Brunswick and many other provinces within Canada. 

Then in November 2022, Apparat secured a B2B license from the Malta Gaming Authority. 

At this point, the Apparent Gaming slot development team had grown to 15 with more than 11 games in development simultaneously. With a larger team, the company is now able to release slots at an impressive rate. Since Total Eclipse, the library has grown to 16 with about one new game being released a month.

Present and future of Apparat Gaming

Backed by considerable investment and an impressive array of aggregation deals, Apparat Gaming is well-set for substantial growth. In addition to the brands mentioned above, the developer has secured partnerships with the likes of GoGaming, United Remote, Hub88, GiG, LionLine and iTechLabs. Most recently the team at Apparat signed up with Softswiss, thereby exposing the entire Apparat online slot portfolio to more than 600 iGaming brands.
