At the end of a lengthy process, gaming software supplier IGT (International Game Technology) has gained responsible gambling accreditation from the Global Gambling Guidance Group (G4) for their sports betting division.
With this accreditation, IGT has now achieved responsible gambling accreditation on all of the company’s software offerings—casino gaming, lottery, digital software solutions, and now sports betting—which it serves to online casinos around the world.
The accreditation process with G4, to summarise, requires that the applying firm prove that it is able to comply with a stringent code of practice. Said code of practice encompasses rules around responsible gambling policies, player protection, advertising guidelines, and employee training.
For its gaming activities, G4 awarded IGT its first responsible gambling accreditation in 2017, which was followed up by a second accreditation in 2019 for its digital solutions. In addition, the supplier's lottery and iLottery operations have also been certified by the World Lottery Association.
