Loto-Québec has announced that it will be expanding its portfolio of games for live casino Canada, with new Dual Play games from longtime supply partner and casino game giant Evolution Gaming.
Casino Montreal, one of Loto-Québec’s largest venues, will house the new Evolution tables, further strengthening the collaboration between the two parties. As a result of this recent agreement, Evolution and Loto-Québec will be able to mix their online and land-based games.
These new games - Dual Play Roulette and Dual Play Baccarat - feature Evolution’s cutting-edge Dual Play technology, which allows for seamless multiplayer play for both land-based and online gamblers, all at the same time. Additionally, these Dual Play tables may be used for either B2C or B2B transactions, depending on the configuration.
Jeff Millar, North American Commercial Director for Evolution Gaming, said of the partnership: “Live Casino is the natural bridge between land-based and online, and with Dual Play we have developed a product exclusive to land-based casinos that want to explore their online potential.”
Evolution and Loto-Québec began their partnership in 2018, with the Canadian lottery operator expanding its iGaming offering by hosting six Evolution-branded tables for their Casino en direct (Live Casino) platform. These tables were run and broadcast from Evolution’s own live casino studio based in Vancouver, and 5 of these 6 tables were hosted by French-speaking croupiers.
Sovanna Phan, product manager for Loto-Québec’s online platform, believed that Evolution’s goal to seamlessly bridge the gap between land-based and Quebec online casino players “fit the glove” of the goals of Loto-Québec, which itself offered solid gaming experiences for players at physical venues and through their online gaming portal.
The service that Evolution will be delivering to Loto-Québec, according to James Stern, the company's former chief business officer for land-based and American gaming, is a testament to the provider's extensive experience in live casino solutions.
