NorthStar Gaming has officially launched NorthStar Bets in Ontario’s regulated iGaming market. Fully powered by software solutions from Playtech, the new site showcases the best of both firms’ capabilities in the online gambling space.
Playtech had previously announced their partnership with NorthStar Gaming in January 2022, specifically noting their intention to launch an online casino for Ontario.
As part of the agreement, Playtech will supply all of the front-end and back-end software for NorthStar Bets, which includes its casino games and live casino hosting infrastructure alongside their IMS platform.
Playtech CEO Mor Weizer expressed his excitement about the company's decision to become NorthStar Gaming's partner as the latter prepares to open its operations in Ontario. He further mentioned that Playtech is committed to delivering to players a "engaging entertainment experience," which is an experience that is also beneficial to the company's stockholders.
Playtech's COO, Shimon Akad, added that the formal launch of NorthStar in Ontario is yet another important milestone for Playtech, which has been making a concerted push to expand in North America over the past year.
